Seems to be a call for the return of skeuomorphic UI, and combining it with things like haptics (actually, fairly classic). TBH, I'm not especially against the idea, except that, if you make something look like a real-world object, it's important to make it behave like one. There's a hell of a lot of digital interfaces (not just touchscreen stuff -digital dials and switches can also have the issue), that look like they should behave a certain way, but don't actually do it. |
