| Swiftype is building search software for the next generation of websites and applications, and we're looking for great engineers to help us build out our infrastructure and product line. We're a small team of highly technical, product-focused engineers with extensive search experience. As a small team, we're looking for early engineers who are self-motivated, resourceful, and enjoy the accountability that is expected from early-stage team members. We launched in May 2012, are very well-funded, and are growing very quickly. Qualifications (the more the better): + Experience with open source Search software, especially Lucene/ElasticSearch/Solr. + Experience with Ruby. + Experience with Scala and/or Go. + Familiarity with web crawling and information extraction. + Familiarity with the full web application stack (from CSS to Rack). + Familiarity with developer-facing APIs (standards, protocols, testing, etc.). + Familiarity with server operations and administration. + Practical experience with information retrieval algorithms.
