I'm curious, did he not clean out old chats that were no longer needed? If UK FOI applies to this now, does that introduce recordkeeping/retention requirements?
It does, and from what I've seen the UK public service are pretty diligent in making sure the rules are enforced... but I don't expect ministers only use recorded accounts and machines.
