Sand, in agronomic terms, is defined as those particles between .05 and 2.0 mm.

Sorry, I was aware of the size but depending on the type of sand you get fines, things that turn to dust. Specially when you load it with heavy machinery into other heavy machines.

Guess the formula can be tuned so that it isn't too crumbly. I'd expect it to be already better than nitrate fertilizers.
