At twice the age you are pre-computer. In the worst case a metal lathe can make any part (though some of them are very tricky to make). If a computer dies on mine I have no ability to make a new one and odds are the chips haven't been made in 10+ years so good luck finding a replacement (getting software to program will also be hard) Though none of the parts I've had to replace are computer related. Mechanical parts are much more likely to wear out or rust. |
