If you need the money now, get the job.
If you don't need the money right now, get the university one. edit: Keep in mind that changing the company you work for every few years will get you a better salary in the end so don't get too comfortable at your first job. |

I know someone who is a contractor and it seems having a broader range of companies on your CV looks better. At least from my perspective. He previously worked at a company for 15 years and got an ok salary - after about a year contracting he doubled it.
