It always strikes me as bizarre that people can "own" land. It existed before you and will exist after you, so how can a short-lived being really "own" it? It would make so much more sense if land "ownership" was related to whether you live on or work that particular piece of land rather than relying on arbitrary pieces of paper that were mainly decided before any of us were even born. |

It’s paying tax for owning something that is weird to me.
