Why replace PGN, which any decent chess player can simply read and follow (1 e4 e5, 2 Nf3 Nf6…), or if needed play out on a chessboard, with such a huge, unparseable monstrosity? PGN [1] already supports all the features of BGN. The only complaint of not having long algebraic notation can simply be added as a comment, maintaining the simple readability of PGN.
