Op-eds aren't supposed to be that way, though yes many have become that. They are supposed to be experts opining about things related to their expertise. Such as a well known computer scientist opining about the field of computer science. This is useful communication to the general public and plays a valuable role in news. There's a million shades of grey. The bad actors only want you to see black and white |
