They do? Well not exactly, but even with the multiple iphone cameras, you can do "spatial capture" (https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-vision-pro/capture-dev...), and see it on a Vision Pro. I don't know exactly how it works, presumably somewhat with classic stereo photography from the slightly displaced cameras (wide and ultrawide), and some more complicated computer vision tricks.

But yeah just having the cameras on either side would be great, although you couldn't play around with the distance as easily.

Hm I wonder if instead of the displacement, it’s using the difference in the standard and ultrawide field of view and doing some sort of interpolation of them? Maybe even pulling data from the lidar? The fake depth of field blur/bokeh uses some of this I guess.
