Fil-C is memory safe. Asan isn't. For example, asan will totally let you access out of bounds of an object. Say buf[index] is an out-of-bounds access that ends up inside of another object. Asan will allow that. Fil-C won't. That's kind of a key spacial safety protection. Asan is for finding bugs, at best. Fil-C is for actually making your code memory safe. |
