They do have some measurement results in figures 6 and 7. Looks like they didn't nail the center frequencies but at mmWave it's reasonable for a first attempt -- they're still missing something in their model though, same as if you did it by hand. I'm skeptical that these pixelated structures are going to turn out anything better than the canonical shapes. They look cool but may just be "weird EM tricks", deconstructing what doesn't really need to be. Anyone remember the craze for fractal antennas? |
