Try ChatGPT first. It would provide a distilled dump and you can then decide which way to go. I am doing the same for some issues I am facing. May be pathetic, I agree. But when you don’t have anyone to talk to - except useless therapists or counsellors - ChatGPT is much better - and cheaper. Try it - at the least. Prompt it to give you succint information and references. Use it to brainstorm and can then decide to talk to others.

I have certainly been doing that. I have actually just gotten a couple of responses from some applications inviting me for an interview. Kind of a taxing way to potentially get some human feedback, but I guess we'll see how it goes.
I am happy to brainstorm ideas if you are so interested. And also provide any information you want regarding how to prepare / practice for these tech interviews.

What you are doing is commendable. I am in a similar boat - but want to do something on my own rather than work for someone else (which I have done so far). It is harder than I realized - esp. due to lack of good network (which you allude to as well).
