Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 - all of these had a published 10 year support lifecycle when they came out. Windows 10's end of support is completely expected and as planned. With Windows 11, they've moved it to a new lifecycle model, so it's less clear how long it will be supported for. |

Windows 10 at one point advertised that it was the last "new" release of Windows ever.
