Isn't this what (allegedly) killed MS, the stack ranking system leading engineers and managers to sabotage each other?

I mean Amazon has been a shitty place to work forever. I had a friend who worked there as an L6 in the finance department at Amazon retail for 4 years until 2019 and I worked there for 3.5 years (Professional Services) until 2023. The difference was that I wasn’t the dumb old lady who didn’t know what to expect from the snake (https://youtu.be/ngu6e7AAhtA?si=YIuNrKK1ywypApIg).

I worked remotely, made my money, waited for the “try to work through the PIP or take this 3.5 months pay severance”, took the money and had a job three weeks later with AWS on my resume.
