Ask HN: Anyone still prefer o1 than o3-mini?

I'm not sure why, I find o1 is better than o3-mini for most of the questions I'm asking

Anyone seeing something similar?

I can't pin point down on exactly why

o1 is better but deepseek r1 on https://together.xyz is also an option for something the Together ads say is 9x cheaper.

Why does this relate? For ai, I would suggest picking the best model and I can run 9x the amount of work for the same price for about the same performance.

Being able to see the reasoning is life changing for things.
