Supposedly, President Andrew Jackson said: "[Supreme Court Justice] John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"

In theory, the Supreme Court can ask US Marshals to enforce it, at the direction of the Attorney General. That doesn't seem likely.

In the past, it was enforced by respect for the rule of law. That seems even less likely.
