Yeah, this pretty much sums up the Windows 11 experience—bloated, slow, and packed with features no one asked for. The fact that Microsoft is doubling down on hardware requirements despite clear pushback just shows how out of touch they are. TPM might have some theoretical security benefits, but for home users? Totally irrelevant.

Such a low hanging fruit for EU to slap a massive fine on Microsoft. Surely what they are trying to do is at odds with climate goals. We should be reusing equipment as much as possible, not buying new. Can only see a case when new equipment might be energy efficient, but not clear when actual benefit would materialise (e.g. cost of disposal, emissions to make new equipment etc.)
