Not politics, as I suspect you are probably aware. In Portugal, electric vehicle (EV) subsidies are available for new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) priced up to €62,500, including VAT. This means that higher-priced models, such as Tesla vehicles, do not qualify for these incentives.
