I think the difference is that the US dollar is actually used regularly as a currency and has the power of a government (and in particular the world's most powerful government) working to make sure that it operates as a useful currency. On the other hand Bitcoin doesn't seem to have significant use as a currency outside of crime. Meme coins are even worse in that they don't have any use at all other than speculation. |
