What’s worse is some of them become “infra engineers.” Needing to explain to someone in that field why the underlying hardware for the K8s node hosting an extremely memory-bandwidth-intensive app does matter, actually, is painful. It’s about on par with needing to explain B+trees to devs, and realizing they still aren’t making the connection to their queries being slow. |
