Something can be highly anticipated and utterly inconsequential at the same time. (See Star Wars Episode 1 as a primary example) These assassinations were tragic and criminal and shocking at the time, but one has to be Gen X or older to have any emotional connection to them. To the rest of us, it’s just a chapter in our history books that’ll get a new paragraph or two appended now. |
