My thoughts exactly. Most here will remember accusations that Yelp was taking down negative reviews (were there even suggestions of payola?) I feel sometimes people grossly overestimate how valuable the web really is. Or at least the majority of it. Wikipedia, archive.org, or my guilty pleasure, YouTube — only a handful of sites really stand out for me. If the rest crashed and burned I'd probably bicycle more. |
