It’s been a meme that “email is for old people” since 2006. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2007/dec/06/digitalco... Even my 80 year old mom texts me. How people reach me depending on the level of relationship is Text > Facebook Messenger > LinkedIn > Email. Even at work almost all announcements and messages go through Slack. I work in consulting and when we start a client project, we either connect them to a dedicated “external-“ Slack temporary channel in our org or our client creates a user for us usually within their Microsoft Teams/Office365 implementation. No one wants to use Email. |
