I'm anesthesiologist but now I work full time as senior software engineer at a radar company. I wanted to get into medtech (still want to) but this works well with the family. Work life balance was the main reason I took this path. I also wanted more intellectually challenging work.

Do you think you'll ever go back to medicine? one issue I see with tech is ageism. Past 50-55, it can be harder to get a job while we're still far for retirement. Seems doctors can work for as long as they want.

You can work until 70 as an anesthesiologist where I live.

I don't know. The quality of life is not good in medicine.

I have dreams of starting a successful company.
