Signwith.co – From zero to revenue with pay-per-doc e-signatures

Last time I posted here, we were just starting out with SignWith.co. Now we're making real revenue, and the journey has been interesting.

Quick backstory: We built SignWith.co as a simple, pay-per-doc alternative to bloated e-signature tools. No subscriptions, no complexity, just straightforward document signing.

Here's what we've learned so far: - Our target market hypothesis was completely wrong. We thought freelancers would be our core users, but we're seeing serious traction from legal firms, financial companies, and service agencies

- These businesses handle high document volumes and care more about reliability than fancy features

- The market needs simple APIs and integrations (we're building these now)

What we offer: - 3 free documents every month - Pay ~$0.50 per document after that - 12-month credit validity - No subscriptions or commitments - Dead simple: Upload doc → Place signature fields → Send → Done

Here's what makes us different: - True pay-per-use model (unlike DocuSign's expensive subscriptions) - No feature bloat or complexity - Built specifically for businesses that need reliable signatures without the enterprise overhead - No account needed for signers

We're focusing on US and Indian markets initially (EU's eIDAS certification is a beast we'll tackle later).

If you deal with e-signatures in your work, we'd love your feedback: http://signwith.co

If you have any questions or thoughts, feel free to comment. Would especially love to hear from folks dealing with document signing pain points.

Cheers!
