I'd argue that depends entirely on your business. For example if your app has a physical component (e.g. a gadget you sell), having an unexpected inflow (by orders of magnitude) of costumers may very well exceed your capability to fulfill your side of the contract by months or years. And having to cancel or delay things infinitely can also be very damaging.
So it entirely depends on what it is you are doing.
