They also popped open a full screen Windows 11 ad after I closed a game last year. That's when I went back to Linux.

as in windows is nice when you ignore the windows bits and run a linux vm (what WSL2 is).

Windows GUI, Linux CLI. The mullet of dev stacks but it works out well.
