Exactly my thoughts. This story about getting it set right is a heartwarming story,
but like many heartwarming stories it's really the story of how something horrible is just sort of accepted as part of our society.
One person caught in the gears and about to be ground up when some miracle happens and saves them.

In reality, most of the time it's about society not caring. Some kid gets cancer and insurance pays only a fraction of treatment costs. Someone starts a GoFundMe and covers the rest.
