I had Latin in school for seven years but we never learned to use it in a conversation. It was mostly vocabulary, grammar and translation of texts into my native language and interpreting/discussing them. It did help to have an easier access to learn other languages. But in hindsight I would have loved to be able to talk in Latin. |
