Is it a median? The site doesn't say (that I can see) but the text seems to suggest an average, not a median. But even if it's a median, the point stands. At least half the country falls below this standard. Equally the distribution of outliers is not balanced. There are a lot lot more outliers (far from the median) on the up side than the down side. |
