Just woke up to this email, and I'm a little bummed. I love my 4a. I'll wait and see exactly how much performance worsens. The article doesn't give any estimates.

Anybody have recommendations for a similarly small phone? I'm considering taking the $50 pity money and getting an iPhone 13 mini.

The closest I've found is the Pixel 8. Surprisingly, the 8a and 9a are bigger. But the 8a is still bigger than the 4a: https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10123&idPhone2=...

I'm planning on replacing the battery in my 4a and making it last as long as I can. It's still a great phone.

My Pixel 4a appears to shows 100% battery only in the status line following the update.
