I'm a Canadian who lived in Luxembourg for 4 years and agree with 100% of what you said. I find the US too extreme in one direction and Europe too much in the other. Canada has many problems (from both places) but by and large IMO strikes the balance reasonably well between dynamism and safety net. It could be a lot better. It could be a lot worse. |
