Even as a liberal, what bugs the heck out of me is that almost no Democratic politician/functionary has ever worked in the private sector in any meaningful way. How can they understand anything about the way the business world works, or should work? Answer: they don't. the role of a government and role of a business have little in common and should seldom-to-never be mixed together. hence businessman should never be in politics and politicians should never go into business... and yet here we are - post-gov career many politicans find themselves in the business sector and now we have these amazing businessman that we are going to let run the government for the next couple of years. like asking a fat kid to handle distribution of apple pies :) |

However, our private-sector economy is regulated by laws.
Do you want the lawmakers who regulate business to have no idea how business works? Because that's what we get with the Dems. And people who have never worked in business, who have never started or run a business, just don't grok what makes sense or doesn't make sense for businesses to succeed.
