Not specifically about Neovim, but I'm curious about the Java situation in general. To a first approximation IntelliJ is what everyone uses. I'm a VSCode user for everything but it seems basically the wrong decision to try to not use IntelliJ for Java. And mixed Kotlin/Java projects are impossible currently in VSCode with the RedHat extension. So my question is, what are projects like Cursor going to do? Surely the solution isn't to assume that JetBrains will do enough innovation in AI IDE features in the next year or two to prevent is wanting to try out all the other AI IDE innovation? |
