Helios2 was half that speed in 1976 I guess everything with a sun slingshot is going to be impressive. We'd have 1% speed-of-causality probes by now if it meant better war machines but best they can do with the budget Vaguely related they did capture light moving with a 1 billion frames per second experiment so Femtosecond Photography is definitely some cutting edge stuff. |
