I will continue to not care, i think. Why would I want a TV when i can get a monitor and stuff a soundbar on the bottom, and an apple TV into HDMI1?

That may be a great solution for you. But if you want anything larger than 24 inches or so the cost is going to be astronomical compared to a TV.
