This is true and a warning sign for future kids....

So iam gonna share a situation happened in my family with a 10 year old girl...

She is my nephew and in the early stage she started using the smartphone. Thats her dads phone or moms not the personal phone.so whenever she came back from school she just throw her bag and keep scrolling the youtube reels..i even observe the content she watching is so unrelated and stupid ... so she just get addicted to it. She even started feeling boredom if she dont have the smartphone. So we all warned her scolded her to not use it.and dont watch the reels ....instead she started attacking us becomming mad with her own parents.screaming loudly even in midnights without any reasone. Not talking with classmates and just her mind just changed .....and in some cases these kids trying to kill or sucide...

Man this genz is ruined already by doom scrolling so make sure to avoid smartphones to kids until they become 21.
