I am surprised how companies and governments fail to grasp how exhausting this is. LinkedIn is deaf to this exhaustion. Figure out how to verify me without providing a copy of my "photo of your identification document", my "biometric chip in [my] ID", and "selfie". I am willing to bet within a short time the information will be used to aggregate and interlink data for a profile of me from multiple resources, not just LinkedIn. Biometrics are one of the things that cannot be changed like a password or PIN. I am not adding this much detail into LinkedIn. I have not forgotten the breaches of LinkedIn in 2012 and two in 2021. I have not seen any public reassurance that those breaches have been corrected. So my final idea, if an organization had a breach, they have to publish to everyone what they have done. It has to include a third-party audit. |
