I’ve made the argument before wrt other media (music, static visual media, and literature) that all art is dying due to the inundation

We were raised to rail against the gatekeepers and tastemakers of art for perpetuating voices of oppressive homogeneity, but we didn’t realize the importance of filtration. What we actually needed was a rotation of the guard, not an abolition of such authority
