This is because of John Hughes films and a US bullying culture. Our stem shortage is a choice and directly connected to bullying culture in US schools having ran rampant. Most other countries, the “nerds” are popular because folks know that they are going to earn big money shortly after. Here? They’re treated like little versions of the United CEO. |
