This wouldn’t prevent you from voting on your own. The problem is if everyone is doing their own thing it’s a pretty noisy signal. Getting rid of an incumbent is really hard.

This is a way of organizing many people who do have similar interests and putting some force behind it.

A lot of these interest groups already exist, they just haven’t gone the extra step of getting voters to commit to them.
