Right, but I'm talking about the difference between retiring at 60 and retiring at 50 or even younger. You don't need a FAANG salary to retire at (what use to be) the normal age or somewhat early, but you do need one to retire very early. I'm saying that I won't choose to chase a very early retirement if doing so compromises the time I can spend with my kids while they're young. |
