may be this will clear up your thoughts on this: "When a person is the one doing the search, the supplier of the answers will always be tempted to upsell: what else would the user be able to buy, what kind of sales pitch should I expose them to? From this upsell-centric approach, an increasing miss rate in proper answers is just a no-brainer." the search results pushed by google to me are based on what I do on the internet, not on my search string. So, I often get irrelevant answers, because google thinks I'm still interested in that travel I looked up - but, I'm looking for potatos right now. |
