Anecdotal: Driving by my house (last month?) i saw a lane blocked and multiple police cars and various safety vehicles. As we drove past, i saw a Tesla Model X or Y, had gone over the median / lane divider, which is what 5” high? But the car was burnt crisp. You couldn’t tell what the original color of the car might have been. The road around it itself was charred black. There was no other car around to suggest a collision with another vehicle and there was no structural damage to the car. Made me think that maybe the car’s undercarriage hitting the median caused something to start the fire. But i’ve rarely seen a car burnt completely black, inside and out.
