Reasons include: - Racial, gender, and/or local citizen discrimination avoidance - Job security for HR so they themselves don't get laid off - Over-interview to exceed capacity/ERP needs - Market and/or competition intelligence Perhaps it behooves jobseekers to stop looking for scant, temporary, insecure, disloyal, abusive work and create or sell goods or services through collective, employee-owned co-ops instead. |

I never thought of that, the entire HR industry needs to make it look like hiring still exists. What a dark circle.
