I don't feel entitled. If I felt entitled, I imagine I would not be in such a mess. But I have helped a lot of people over the years with very difficult problems. We are not friends. They get advice and move on. It is more like consulting, but I don't get paid. In some cases, lots of experts already failed them. So I improve their lives but I am apparently supposed to do that out of "love" or something, and somehow that translates to they are entitled to my help and owe me not a damn thing. That's part of why my finances are a mess.

I am good at solving hard problems. I like doing that. I think it makes the world a better place. But I need money. I can't keep doing it for free and I don't see any reason I should.
