Kamala had a very weak campaign: student loans, economy, inflation, rising income inequality, attempting to flank Trump from the right on immigration and pro-police, spent most of the time pandering to right wingers in ways that alienate and spit in the face of her voting base (Liz Cheney? seriously?), doubled-down on pro-genocide of Palestinian talking points directly to a pro-Palestine district.

And let's talk about Ukraine. There's 2 possible solutions to the war in the Ukraine. Full military aid of Ukraine (might start WW3) and full endorsement of Ukraine's peaceful surrender (peace in our time?). But there's also the least-good solution, which is to give Ukraine just enough support to draw out the war long enough to send all their able bodied population into a meat grinder? A sacrifice the Biden administration was happy to make, just to spite Russia. A clear message to the world what kind of friend the US is.

I think the establishment (which Trump is merely the right wing of) intentionally ran a weak candidate to continue the illusion of Democracy to the average person. The average person is probably going to wake up to this unless the US government can find more loopholes like facebook/twitter to put an end to freedom of speech.
