Over the years I was wondering why management is often so bad to begin with. There are terms like "stupid" that are often used -- I certainly did and still do -- but more often than not the people in question are not really stupid. What I came to realize seems obvious in hindsight: They lack the education to do their jobs right. Question really is, if there is any education that even builds the right foundations for that.
