I personally don't see the point in iGoogle, but it was perfect for a certain demographic. Anecdotally, I know of quite a few middle-aged people who learned to use the internet when portals were king. After Google surpassed Yahoo, they simply switched to iGoogle. Even with Google Reader, RSS feeds aren't very easy-to-use for non-technical people. It's going to be interesting to see how they adapt now. |
